Jaylen Warren celebrated his 28th birthday with 143 rushing yards and a touchdown as the Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Cleveland Browns 27–6 on Sunday, November 1, 2026. The win at Acrisure Stadium put Pittsburgh at 6–2 and alone atop the AFC North, while Cleveland slipped to 5–3.
This was a game decided largely at the line of scrimmage. Pittsburgh ran for 200 yards and sacked Deshaun Watson eight times, keeping Cleveland from turning its passing yardage into touchdowns.
The result also extended a remarkable rivalry streak: Pittsburgh has won 23 consecutive regular-season home games against Cleveland, matching the NFL record for consecutive home wins over one opponent. Associated Press, via WRAL.
The first half built the cushion
Cleveland lost fumbles on its first two possessions, and Pittsburgh quickly found room to run. Rico Dowdle opened the scoring with a nine-yard touchdown, while Warren’s 51-yard run helped set up a field goal.
The Browns stayed within reach through two Andre Szmyt field goals, but the final seconds before halftime changed the feel of the game. Pat Freiermuth scored on a one-yard run with one second remaining, sending Pittsburgh into the locker room ahead 20–6.
Early in the third quarter, Aaron Rodgers connected with Darnell Washington for a 58-yard gain. Warren scored from one yard out on the next play, stretching the lead to 27–6. Cleveland did not score again.
Watson finished with 324 passing yards, and tight end Harold Fannin Jr. caught 10 passes for 154 yards. Those numbers offered little consolation, with the Browns held to field goals. Browns official game recap.
Pressure kept Cleveland out of the end zone
Warren needed only 17 carries to match his career-best rushing total. Dowdle added 56 yards, while Washington finished with 94 receiving yards on three catches. Pittsburgh did not need a high-volume passing afternoon: Rodgers completed 13 of 25 attempts for 172 yards.
On defense, T.J. Watt recorded two sacks. Patrick Queen supplied 12 tackles, 1.5 sacks and a forced fumble, contributing to a performance that left Cleveland with just 34 rushing yards.
The Steelers have now won four straight and split their two regular-season meetings with the Browns. For Pittsburgh, the combination of a productive ground game and sustained pressure mattered more than any single highlight. Steelers official game recap.
